Cookie Policy
Last updated: 26 September 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how KARDZA uses cookies and similar technologies.
KARDZA is operated by Bratim BV, Koensborre 92, Bus 101, 1730 Asse, Belgium. VAT number: BE1000.750.582.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies and similar technologies allow websites and applications to remember information, maintain sessions, provide security and understand how services are used.
Some technologies are necessary for the service to function.
Others, such as analytics and referral / affiliate tracking, are optional and off until you consent.
2. Strictly Necessary Technologies
KARDZA uses technologies that may be necessary for:
- authentication;
- maintaining user sessions;
- security;
- fraud prevention;
- remembering essential application state;
- providing core application functionality.
These technologies are required for KARDZA to operate correctly.
Rejecting optional analytics does not disable these necessary functions.
3. Analytics
With your permission, KARDZA uses PostHog for product analytics.
PostHog helps us understand how users interact with KARDZA so we can identify problems and improve the product.
Analytics may include information such as:
- pages viewed;
- application interactions;
- browser and device information;
- navigation behaviour;
- feature usage;
- technical usage information.
Where consent is required, analytics is not enabled until you explicitly accept analytics.
4. Rejecting Analytics
You can reject all optional categories or choose analytics and referral / affiliate tracking separately in the cookie banner and Cookie settings.
Rejecting analytics does not prevent you from:
- creating or accessing an account;
- using the KARDZA dashboard;
- using loyalty or reward functionality;
- using other core KARDZA features.
5. Changing Your Choice
You can change or withdraw your analytics and referral / affiliate tracking preferences at any time using the Cookie settings link available on the KARDZA website.
If you withdraw analytics consent, KARDZA will stop optional PostHog tracking for future activity.
Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before consent was withdrawn.
6. How We Remember Your Preference
KARDZA stores your cookie choices so that the banner does not need to appear on every page visit. The first-party kardza_referral_consent cookie stores only your referral consent choice for up to 180 days. It does not identify a referring partner.
Consent preferences are used to enable only the optional categories you have chosen. Previous analytics consent does not grant referral tracking consent.
6a. Referral attribution
Only after you enable the optional Referral / affiliate tracking category, following a valid partner referral link or submitting a valid referral code allows KARDZA to store a signed first-party cookie named kardza_referral for up to 30 days. It contains a partner identifier and expiry information, not your email address or loyalty customer data. It remembers which partner introduced a new business; an existing valid, active referral takes priority over a later link or code.
Referral / affiliate tracking has its own control, separate from PostHog analytics. We require affirmative consent for every visitor before setting or using referral attribution storage. If you reject or withdraw this category in Cookie settings, we remove the referral cookie and stop using it. Existing referral cookies without this consent are also removed. Before consent, a referral link may be held only in page memory while you decide, with no referral cookie, localStorage or sessionStorage persistence. Clearing cookies, changing devices or blocking storage may prevent attribution before signup. Account creation and core KARDZA features do not depend on referral attribution.
After attribution is finalised for a new business, it is stored with the business account, so cookie expiry or deletion does not remove that existing association. Beta referrals remain tracked, but free usage earns no commission. The Privacy Policy explains the account records and your rights.
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the technologies used by KARDZA change.
The current version will always be available on the KARDZA website.
